Distribution & Collection Supervisor

Supervisory operations work in the installation, maintenance and repair of the water system network in the City of Oldsmar.

Duties include:

• Supervises and plans the operations of water and reclaimed water distribution;
• Coordinates work assignments and schedules daily;
• Supervises and assists subordinates in their daily maintenance activities;
• Supervises the installation and change out of water meters;
• Inspects installations and repairs.  Prepares reports and maintains files;
• Supervises purchases, orders materials.
• Implements and enforces City policies and procedures;
• Provides and training and instruction to subordinates;
• Responds to customer complaints;
• Prepares division's budget;
• Responsible for water sampling and reporting to regulatory agencies.

Education and Experience:

• High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, supplemented by schooling in water maintenace.  
• Five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of water distribution systems; and two (2) years supervisory experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of public utilities infrastructure.

Licenses, Certifications: 

• Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License required.
• Minimum Level 2 FDEP Water Distribution Operator's License or Class C Water Treatment Plant Operator's license; Level 1 FDEP Water Distribtion Operator's license preferred.
