The City of Ellensburg has a current vacancy for a Shop and Warehouse Manager.

We are looking for a proactive individual to ensure safe and efficient operations of the City’s Shop and Warehouse facilities along with providing ongoing operations supports to our Street, Water, and Wastewater divisions.

The person in this position will Provide a variety of routine and complex analytical, technical, and administrative support to the Assistant Public Works Director; provide supervision and leadership for the shop and warehouse employees and may be delegated authority to oversee other areas in the absence of the Assistant Public Works Director and/or to perform higher-level managerial duties. Extract and interpret technical reports and other documents and perform various economic calculations to evaluate operational efficiencies, file mandatory compliance reports, and assist with the division budget. The supervisor is expected to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information/situations.

Salary: $6,842 - $9,123/month – FLSA Exempt

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar environment, including general administrative work, financial analysis and budgeting, inventory management, safety compliance, and supervision of staff
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• Must possess a valid State driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment; must maintain an insurable driving record
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months
• Must possess Certified Fleet Professional Certification through the American Public Works Association or have the ability to obtain within one (1) year of becoming eligible.
