The Denver Public Works (DPW) delivers services that help to define and improve the quality of life in Denver. DPW is responsible for road maintenance and repair; residential trash, recycling and compost collection; design and construction of streets, bridges, public buildings, and storm and sanitary sewers; transportation and parking services; oversight and regulation of use of the public right-of-way; and implementation of the Public Works Environmental Management System (EMS).

The Division of Transportation Operations is responsible for managing the performance of the transportation infrastructure. This division has over 50 employees.

The Traffic Signs and Pavement Markings section works within the Division to support City goals and initiatives by managing programs and staff that fabricate, install and maintain traffic control assets.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for the continued implementation and development of the City's asset management system. This includes developing reporting, performance metrics, condition assessments and predictive analysis.

The Transportation Operations Division is seeking a Manager to lead the Pavement Markings and Signage Section.

As Manager, you will have an opportunity to innovate development of criteria for asset conditions and manage programs to meet that criteria. This position reports to the Division Director and is responsible for managing both in-house and contracted efforts to maintain high quality transportation assets.

While the full pay range of this Job Classification is $81,572.00 - $130,515.00, our target hiring salary for this position is between $81,572.00 - $106,044.00, depending on education, experience and qualifications.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field based on a specific position(s).

Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of supervisory experience. Positions with no subordinate supervisors require three (3) years of professional level experience rather than the three (3) years of supervisory experience.

License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Education/Experience Equivalency: Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
