Advanced technical work in the management, operation and maintenance of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water reatment Plant.

Education, Experience and Required Licenses

  • Graduation from an accredited junior or community college with an Associates Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in treatment plant operations including laboratory and maintenance duties and two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum Class B, preferred Class A, Operators Certificate (Water) as issued by the State of Florida.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License

Knowlede, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of RO water treatment plant operations, policies, procedures and methods including the ability to read and interpret gauges, meters, and test results.
  • Knowledge of the Federal, State, and City regulations, policies and ordinances pertaining to potable water production and distribution.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and City requirements in safety and operations.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using the English language with superiors, subordinates, and the public.
  • Ability to supervise multiple shifts and coordinate with outside organizations.
  • Ability to supervise the work of subordinates.
  • Good mechanical skills.
