Help modernize and reshape the infrastructure in City of Sunnyvale. We are looking for dynamic and flexible individuals to help deliver capital projects. The current workplan for delivering capital project infrastructure is at an all time high; we are renovating, updating, modernizing, and building new assets for our community. Ideal candidates have both strong project/program management skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate across a variety of mediums.
The current two positions are in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. Senior Engineers are working managers. One position will manage a team tasked with delivering a wide variety of capital projects through the design phase. The second position will work on a team that is delivering the new City Hall and Cleanwater Program (large capital projects associated with the City’s wastewater treatment plant.)

The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a related field; AND
Five years of increasingly responsible professional civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering experience, depending on assignment, including experience in a supervisory or project management role.
Possession of registration as a professional civil or structural engineer issued by the State of CA as well as possession of a valid class C California driver’s license and a safe drive record are also required.
