The town of Marion is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the town's Capital Improvement Program, Right-of-Way inspection, and Stormwater Management Program. The Manager will also assist the Department operating divisions: Highway, Water, and Sewer. The position reports to the Director of Public Works.

Technical areas include the design, construction, inspection, and quality assurance of the town's infrastructure related to roadways and drainage, water and sewer, traffic operations, sidewalks, parking lots, and recreation facilities.

The Engineering Manager will review major development proposals for a variety of impacts on the community including transportation, public safety, and municipal service delivery. In addition, the Manager will maintain contact with federal, state, municipal organizations as well as other town departments to ensure compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to engineering-oriented projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from an accredited college (required) and five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in municipal public works construction, maintenance, and engineering (preferred); or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Registered Professional Engineer (preferred).
