The City of Rohnert Park is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join its Public Works Department. The incumbent will coordinate activities with the City's mandated environmental programs, including water monitoring, cross-connection and conservation programs, sewer system management plan, stormwater permit and best management practices, and reclamation permit and monitoring program. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, water supply or a closely related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience in a municipality involving environmental program management and analysis, including the preparation of reports.
Under general direction, provide professional and technical assistance to ensure the City's water, reclaimed water, sewer, and drainage systems are in compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and mandates.
This is a single position classification in the Public Works Department responsible for tracking, recording, reviewing and reporting on activities associated with environmental compliance in the City's utility systems. Under general direction, the incumbent exercises independent judgment in carrying out these duties and provides technical and professional support on a variety of regulatory issues.
Salary: $79,991.04 - $97,229.04
