If so, City of Bothell Publics Works is looking for its next Operations Manager for the Streets Section. The Streets Section is responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of Bothell's public streets and walkways. This position will lead and supervise daily operations and ensure the preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. In addition, it plays a leadership role in developing, planning and implementing projects and programs that meet our safe street and sidewalk goals; ensures we are meeting all regulations to provide safe transportation throughout the City; and coaches, guides and supervises personnel throughout the operations division. This position works alongside the Water/Sewer and Storm Operations Managers and works closely with staff and leadership throughout all City departments.
The ideal candidate should be an action-oriented strategic thinker that is self-motivated. Candidates should have a strong desire to lead others when it comes to development, team building, coaching, setting clear work standards and assist the team to fulfill the City's mission and goals. Candidates should have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and have a proven ability to work effectively with members of the public, regulators, developers, consultants, contractors and government staff.
The ideal candidate will also have a valid drivers license, and must have five (5) years of experience in construction and maintenance programs, including lead worker or supervisory experience.
