The City Engineer is well rounded with wide-ranging experience in typical municipal projects such as streets, sidewalks, bicycle facilities, water distribution, sewer collection, stormwater management, subdivisions, and commercial development. The ideal candidate brings a combination of public and private sector experience and enjoys working on a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate easily connects the dots and understands how the various pieces of the projects fit together. A minimum of five years demonstrated progressively responsible experience as a Professional Engineer with a thorough knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and practices as related to a wide variety of public works projects. The successful candidate must possess a valid Professional Engineer's License and, if licensed in another state, must have the ability to attain an Oregon PE in a reasonable timeframe. A minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity is required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university, or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience which ensures the ability to perform the work may be substituted.
The salary range is $93,004.73 - $117,746.62 DOQ, including an excellent benefits package. The City Engineer will report to the Community Development Director.
