THE POSITION: Under general supervision, the Environmental Services Coordinator will play a pivotal role in public outreach programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing day-to-day management and implementation of specific projects including the City’s Solid Waste and Recycling Franchise Agreement. Collaboration is key as you coordinate with external agencies and organizations, facilitating seamless communication and teamwork. Your responsibilities will also encompass data management and reporting, showcasing your analytical skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, public or business administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional experience in researching, planning, or implementation of environmental management programs and/or compliance.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A valid Class C California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the City’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.
- Ability to work extended hours to attend meetings, conduct inspections, make presentations, and evaluate environmental compliance standards.
